NAVIO - Something About You (Official Music Video)
This Video puts a stamp on why Navio is still the most consistent and
original when it comes to crafting that perfect East African video that
doesn't suffer from monotonous scene usage.
After his European
Tour, Navio set about crafting a song with the East African influenced
popular music that has swept through Africa.
The song is called
“Something About You”, which revives some of Navio’s album work on the
“Pride” Album and takes it to new levels.
Whilst still staying
close to his MC roots, he crafts verses on a beat that would be
challenging to most MC’s from his battle background. In short, Navio has
moved away from just being big in African Hip-Hop and is now becoming
big in African music in general.
It is the progression that many Ugandan music fans have been waiting for.
Aethan
came through on the production side, taking some of Navio’s existing
works and amplifying it on to this Re-fix that takes the original to new
heights. His team adamant about having no features saw Navio go in
alone, showing how dynamic Ugandan musicians have always been.
Samurae
and handled the engineering for the song that saw Navio and Samurae
doing their renowned fast and efficient hit making process.
Those
who had doubts that Uganda could compete with the new wave of popular
music sweeping the continent have now had their questions answered.
